Here at BBD Architects, we pride ourselves on delivering architectural services that make you truly happy, and we want to know your hopes and desires for your project and how you see yourself living in your new home. Through a series of design meetings with you, we will bring your project to life whilst addressing any of those burning questions about the feasibility, costings, planning and the process of your project going forward. This is the time to iron all of that out and take the scheme to the next stage.

Planning: We understand that the planning maze can seem a bit daunting. We support you through the process by liaising and negotiating with the local authority on your behalf, acting as your agent. We can advise on all areas of planning legislation and policy relating to your project.

flip_to_front TECHNICAL DESIGN AND BUILDING REGULATIONS 

It’s all about the details.

As part of our architectural services, we develop technical drawings and specifications for your project, even down to the interior and exterior finishes. This forms a package that can be priced by a carefully chosen list of building contractors in preparation for the construction process. We aim to compile as much information about your project as possible at this stage. This means that the contractors will be able to deliver a fixed price and you know exactly how much you will be paying for your finished project.

Building Regulations: We liaise with building control throughout the technical design stage to ensure your project complies with the necessary statutory requirements.

Hard hats at the ready

Get support during your project as we act as your Contract Administrator as part of our Architectural services. We monitor the quality of work with regular site visits and review progress on site. We hold site meetings between you, and your chosen contractor (we even provide the biscuits). We certify payments to the contractor, ensuring that you are never overpaying for works completed until the project is handed over to you upon completion and you are ready to move into your new home.
